Hisham Akhdad - The Heart of Line up Surf Camp
Hisham Akhdad, at the age of 27, has a story that's both inspiring and authentic. Born in Taghazout and raised in the local village of Banana, Hisham's first encounter with the ocean happened at the tender age of 10. Guided by his uncle, an avid surfer, Hisham's life took an exciting turn. His love for surfing was born.
However, in those early years, surfing wasn't recognized as a sport but rather associated with negative stereotypes. In his region, it was seen as a way to get involved with unhealthy behaviors. Hisham's parents, guided by their cultural values, temporarily pulled him away from the waves, emphasizing the importance of education.
After finishing high school, Hisham found his way back to the ocean. He rekindled his passion and improved his surfing skills. Determined to make a career out of his love for the sport, he recognized the power of surfing as a means to connect people from diverse backgrounds, promote a healthy lifestyle, and break cultural barriers.
Driven by this vision, Hisham decided to take the leap and manage a surf camp. This move allowed him to share the stoke of surfing with others while fostering connections between individuals from around the world. Line up Surf Camp was born.
